Warranty Policy

BDI Collection (from now on also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) guarantees to the original purchaser that for the below stated guarantee term, we will repair or replace any product, part, or component covered by this guarantee which fails under normal use as a result of a defect in material or workmanship; we will repair or replace the aforementioned product, part or component with a comparable product, part or component. The decision to repair or replace will be at our sole discretion.

This document inclusively describes all of the guarantees given and remedies available with respect to our products. BDI Collection disclaims any other guarantee, whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise, in relation to its products. To exercise your rights under this guarantee, the purchaser must submit a copy of the original sales receipt when making a claim.

The guarantee period starts from the date of purchase, as reflected on original sales receipt. This guarantee extends only to the original purchasers who acquire new product from us. Any product, part, or component must have been assembled, installed, used, and maintained according to our published instructions in order to be eligible for warranty coverage. Any modification to the original product voids the warranty.

After notification, it may be necessary for us to arrange for an inspection of the product, or receipt of photographs, to determine the nature of the issue and whether a manufacturing defect exists.

These are your exclusive remedies under our guarantee.

Terms

All BDI furniture sold on our website is guaranteed for three (3) years from the date of purchase.

Limitations and Exclusions:

The following are excluded or limited under this guarantee.

Implied Guarantees:

We make no implied guarantees of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. These and all other implied guarantees are specifically disclaimed. By “implied guarantees” we mean guarantees that the law sometimes implies to have been given by the seller even though they are not set out in writing.

Place of Purchase:

This guarantee protects you only when you purchase factory-new BDI Collection products from us.

Ex-display and/or products purchased “AS IS”:

This guarantee does not cover ex-display or products designated “AS IS” at the time of purchase.

Improper Care and Use:

Your BDI Collection product requires some routine care & maintenance, as indicated on the Assembly Instructions that accompanies each product in its original BDI packaging.

Proper care and use are essential not only to extend the product’s useful life but to preserve your rights under this guarantee. We will not repair or replace products where improper maintenance or use has caused damage. This guarantee does not apply if your BDI Collection product is damaged by the use of detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents.

Differences from Floor Samples or Literature:

Due to the use of natural materials in BDI products, minor variations can occur from piece to piece. This guarantee does not cover such minor differences, or differences between floor samples, computer screen display variations or printed illustrations and your furniture.

BDI Collection does not warrant:

Natural variations in wood grain or figure, or the presence of character marks

Changes in surface finishes due to aging or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

Failure resulting from normal wear and tear

The matching of colours, grains, or textures of natural materials

Damage, marking, or staining of veneer surfaces due to contact with rubber or similar compounds; damage from sharp objects or imprinting from writing instruments

Damage resulting from negligence, abuse or accidents, including burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or pet damage

Damage resulting from exposure to extreme environmental conditions or improper storage

Consequential or Incidental Damages:

We will not be liable for consequential or incidental damages. By this we mean any loss, expense or damage other than to the product itself that may result from a defect in the product.

Your guarantee rights:

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights. Except for such other rights, the remedies provided under this guarantee state the limit of our responsibilities.
